It's bit a LONG time since I have blogged. I've had more fun in reading others blogs than writing on my own. An especially exciting occurrence for me was being the 100,000th hit on JimbosFrontPorch.blogspot.com! Jim creates the most beautiful wooden crochet hooks. If you haven't checked his blog out, you should.

I haven't stopped crocheting. I made a baby blanket for a relative.

And I have made a few other items. Most everything is for someone else. That's okay. It's one way I can give. Giving can be expressed in many ways. I find that crafter's are a very giving group of people. It's a way of providing a 'hug' to others. Which is what I hope you leave this blog with - a "Hug". Stop by anytime and until then - Hugs to You!

Crafting for a Cause

I found a great group to belong to! Crafting for a Cause has several organizations that benefit from the talents of a lot of crafters. I crocheted a couple of purse/totes

and a laghan or afghan (depending upon the size of the recipient).

If you have a little time and wish to give, they could use your talent too! Hugs to you!

More from the Stash

I found partial skeins and they were of the type that I can’t purchase anymore around here. So what to do? Use them for small projects. Preemie caps fit that criterion. How about you? Do you have ideas for small amounts of your stash?
Hugs to you!

Daisy Flower Charity Square

After searching the Internet for ideas for my stash, I ran across a really neat pattern. KrochetKrystal created a pattern for a Daisy Flower Square. She shares her pattern freely to those who join her Yahoo! group, only asking that you make at least one square and send to her. She then takes the donated squares to make afghans that are given to several different charities. Here are two I have made and will be sending on Tuesday.

You can get involved by checking out www.krochetkrystal.blogspot.com. Hugs to you!
